This fire curtain in fire class EW60 in Compact design, is intended to separate fire cell boundaries between two spaces in the event of a fire. The model allows protection of very large openings with a maintained and certified fire class. The delivery includes a control cabinet that takes care of the signals going in and out, as well as two sets of optical and acoustic alarm sensors to be mounted on both sides of the opening. The fire curtain is normally controlled by a fire alarm system, but can also be controlled by an independent alarm system or detectors. Fire class EW is not permitted to be used for emergency escape routes. Closing in the event of a fire alarm signal or power failure must be done with a gravity self-closing motor, a so-called Failsafe motor.
Closing in the event of a fire signal or power failure must not take place with a requirement for power or battery power/UPS. Electrical Failsafe (EFS) is not allowed.
